The group of administrative buildings houses all departments of the Ministry of the Interior. A catering, archive, warehouse, conference and training block is located in the centre of the complex. The buildings are interconnected by glass galleries on the first floor level. Between the first and fourth floors, there are passageways between the Ministry of Interior Polyclinic, the ministry itself, the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs, the State Police and the Communications Centre.
There are modern and fully equipped workplaces for almost 2000 employees, an up-to-date temporary detention facility for 80 persons, archive premises, and secure IT premises in the buildings.
All entrances are equipped with facilities to ensure access for persons with disabilities. There is a parking lot with a capacity for 200 special service vehicles and technical premises between the buildings.
Skonto Būve Ltd. ensured high quality of preparation, construction, and assembly works, including assembly of metal and reinforced concrete structures, as well as interior decoration and installation of public utilities.
All works in all stages of the project, from design development and approval to commissioning of the object, have been performed in compliance with the contract and with high quality. The total area of the property is 41,781.1 m2.
