New kindergarten Čiekuriņš is opened in Ikšķile

On September 1, 2018, new preschool education establishment Čiekuriņš and secondary school extension to the primary school was opened. Skonto Būve Ltd. implemented the project.

Within the frameworks of the project Skonto Būve Ltd. constructed a 3523 square meters large preschool education building, also modernized the area of 2.1 hectares where children’s playgrounds and sports fields, access road and parking places are located.

In total up to 174 children will be able to attend the kindergarten. It is planned to enrol children from 2 years of age, including also children with special needs, therefore premises and entrances of the kindergarten are specially adjusted to them.


Sports hall and stadium of the Tukums 3rd Elementary School has been put into operation

In August 30, 2018, the State Construction Control Bureau of Latvia (SCCB) with the participation of all parties involved in the construction process, approved for operation the sports hall and stadium of the Tukums 3rd Elementary School.

Accordingly to the construction project developed by the Skonto Būve Ltd. construction of the sports hall and stadium of the school was commenced on December 15, 2016. Its goal is to promote development of sports in the region, as well as improve organisation of the sports activities.

New sports hall was built under the supervision of Skonto Būve Ltd.; sports hall is connected with the existing school’s building, also stadium is reconstructed, football field with artificial turf constructed, as well as running-tracks and gymnastic equipment installed. Additionally – spacious parking lot is constructed and territory is modernized with the children’s playground equipment.

Total construction costs comprise EUR 3 752 477.31


Ridgepole Celebrations at the Office Complex Business Garden Ri

The ridgepole celebrations started with the traditional placement of a wreath on the highest points of first two buildings. Romāns Astahovs, the Managing Director of contracting entity Vastint Latvia SIA, expressed gratitude for excellent work done so far: "Just seven months ago we placed a time capsule in the foundation of these buildings, but now we are on the roof and are celebrating reaching of the highest point. An impressive job is done in such a short time. This would not be possible if not for all the people involved in the construction, for all the team work. And for that I would like to say special thanks to everyone here. These buildings are becoming a landmark that won't go unnoticed by both city residents and leisure and business visitors arriving from the airport."

High praises for results of the first construction stage were expressed also by Juris Pētersons, the Member of the Board from Skonto Būve SIA acting as the general contractor.

During the first stage, two Business Garden Riga office buildings are constructed with the total leasable area of 14 200 square meters, as well as underground parking and extensive on-site parking for office workers and visitors. There will be a total of five buildings with the total office space exceeding 42 000 square meters.

The buildings are to be completed at the beginning of 2019.


Skonto Būve has commenced renovation of premises of the former Albert Hotel building

Skonto Būve has commenced renovation of premises of the former Albert Hotel building at Dzirnavu Street 33 in Riga.

The hotel building has 11 floors, including two underground ones. The ground floor hosts reception and restaurant with kitchen area. The hotel rooms are located between 1st and 9th floor.

The 10th floor features a gym, conference rooms and technical premises. The total building area is 8602 m2.

The work is to be completed by the end of 2018.


Skonto Būve and SJSC "State Real Estate" Sign a Contract on Reconstruction of the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia

On 29 May 2018, Skonto Būve and SJSC "State Real Estate" signed a contract on reconstruction of the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia. Reconstruction project "House of the Future" uses ideas and sketches by architect Gunārs Birkerts. Under the new concept, the building dating back to 1970 will receive a new white annex and a glass wall, while adding modern functionality to the museum. The new, contemporary showrooms will include interactive multimedia objects.

The reconstruction of the Occupation Museum is implemented under programme "100 Addresses for Latvia's Centenary", which envisages creation of buildings that we can be proud of even after hundred years.
