Skonto Būve Participates in Time Capsule Embedding for Shopping Centre Origo Expansion

29.05.2018

On 15 May 2018, the Shopping Centre Origo expansion and business centre Origo One construction was officially opened and a time capsule for future generations was immured.

The time capsule embedding event was attended by Skonto Group President Guntis Rāvis, who addressed the attendees: "Linstow and Skonto Group have been cooperating for decades. Together we have built the first and largest shopping centres in Latvia – Dole, Galerija Centrs, Mols and Origo. And this long-term cooperation is a clear indication of the quality, stability and knowledge we offer. Areas around city stations are often worn-down, dusty and gloomy, but quality projects with professional implementation can change face of a city. Skonto Group had the pleasure of participating in the Origo construction 15 years ago, and we are happy to take on this expansion project. Every one of us can have impact on Riga's outlook, and Skonto Group proudly and happily shares its experience and knowledge and participates in projects that shape the cityscape."

With this project, the Shopping Centre Origo leasable area will increase more than twofold thanks to three lower floors allocated to retail space. The three upper floors will host the business centre Origo One with innovative class A offices. The planned investment for this impressive project is 70 million euro. The construction is to be completed by October 2019.
