Skonto Būve is launching the construction of the Dzintari Church of the Lady of Kazan Icon

Skonto Būve has started working on the construction of the Dzintari Orthodox Church of the Lady of Kazan Icon in Jūrmala It is planned to put the object into operation on September 2018. The project is rather complicated, especially in relation to stone building works, as stone arches, domes, vaults and the finishing must be built in accordance with the canons of the Orthodox church. All the necessary communications will also be installed in the church in order to conform with all the necessary security requirements. A kindergarten construction is launched in Ikšķile

At the end of March, Skonto Būve initiated construction of a new kindergarten in Ikšķile. The project was started with setting up the construction site and it will be continued by construction works. The kindergarten will have premises for studying and playing as well as a gym and a pool. In this kindergarten it is planned to have a group for children with special needs, therefore the premises and getting to these premises will be specially adapted. The customer of the project is Ikšķile District Municipality and it is planned to put the building into operation on June 2018. The customer of the object is SIA Ērmans.


Skonto Būve receives an award in the Latvijas Būvniecības Gada balva 2016 contest

The best buildings and constructors of Latvia were announced in the official ceremony of the Latvijas Būvniecības Gada balva 2016 contest on 30 March 2017, in the National Library of Latvia. An excellent jury comprised of 30 practitioners and scholars nominated by non-governmental organisations of the construction sector were choosing the best buildings in three review rounds. Within the contest, the 1st construction round of the Riga Motor Museum obtained the 1st place in the “Rebuilding” category. The building also received the special prize from the insurance company ERGO as “Public Benefit of 2016”, as well as an award from Knauf. Skonto Būve performed reconstruction of the Riga Motor Museum within a procurement of the Road Traffic Safety Directorate and according to a project made by Arhis Arhitekti.

SIA Skonto Būve signed a deedon putting the 1stround of the A block of VSIA Paula Stradiņa klīniskā universitātes slimnīca

On 29 March 2017 SIA Skonto Būve signed a deedon putting the 1stround of the A block of Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital into operation. As a part of the general partnership SBRE, SIA Skonto Būve preformedthe 1stround designing, design supervision and construction work, as well as delivery and setup of the in-built facilities of the A block of Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital.

The new block will be open to patients as of June first of this year. Currently the new block is actively being furnished, equipped with medical facilities and technologies, and employees are being trained and introduced to the engineering systems of the new building.

Other companies from the SKONTO group were also involved In the construction process - SKONTO PLAN, SKONTO PREFAB and LEC.


Completed the designing and construction works of the new block of VSIA Paula Stradiņa klīniskā universitātes slimnīca

As a part of the general partnership SBRE, SIA Skonto Būve preformed the 1st round designing, design supervision and construction works, as well as delivery and setup of the in-built facilities of the A block of the Stradiņš hospital.

Upon putting the building complex into operation, the patients and hospital staff will be welcomed by large, bright and modern premises equipped with medical technology.

The total area of the new complex is more than 34 thousand square meters. The new block has two underground floors, where the connecting corridors with other hospital blocks are built, as well as communication tunnels for engineering and medical systems for the new energy block of the complex, and also technical premises.

In seven surface floors of the medical block, the outpatient and inpatient treatment will be assured. In order to assure the functionality of the new block and operation of the new engineering communications and technologies, a new, more than 500 meters long, rain collector, was built up to the K. Ulmaņa gatve, as well as an almost 5 km long 10 kV electric line from the Torņakalns substation.

In the construction process of the building complex, other companies from the SKONTO group were also involved - SKONTO PLAN, SKONTO PREFAB and LEC.

The facade of the building is made of high-quality finishing - facade ceramics made specially for the project, large designed timber windows, and roof covering from copper plates for the tower part of the building. An area of more than 25 thousand m2 was improved.
